Cookie Policy
Status: March 2026
1. General
This Cookie Policy explains how NeoLodge GmbH uses cookies, local storage, session storage and similar technologies on its holiday home portal. It supplements our Privacy Policy and describes in particular which categories of technologies we use, for which purposes, on which legal basis the processing takes place, and how you can manage or withdraw your choices.
2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. In addition, we may use comparable technologies such as local storage, session storage, pixels, tags or similar identifiers. Some of these technologies are technically required to provide our portal. Others help us provide additional functions, carry out usage analyses or, where used, manage marketing-related technologies.
A distinction is made in particular between session cookies, which are automatically deleted at the end of your visit, and persistent cookies, which remain stored on your device for a certain period. In addition, technologies may originate from the first party (set by us) or from third parties when external content or services are integrated.
3. Which categories of technologies do we use?
Necessary (always active)
These technologies are required to provide basic functions of our website and portal. This includes in particular storing your consent choices, security functions, form states, login sessions, load balancing and the stable delivery of individual content. This may also include functions that you actively call up and that are then required for the requested display, for example the map view for a location.
Functional
Where available, we use technologies to provide additional functions or store your settings, for example language settings, previous selections or certain user-friendly display options. To the extent that these functions are not assigned to the category "Necessary (always active)", they are only used on the basis of your choice or the applicable legal basis.
Analytics
With your consent, we use technologies for statistical analysis of the use of our portal in order to improve content, navigation and discoverability. In our case, this particularly concerns web analytics with Matomo in our own hosting environment. We use a privacy-friendly configuration, especially with shortened or anonymized IP addresses.
Marketing
This category is only relevant to the extent that marketing-related services or technologies are actually used on the respective page. Such technologies are activated only on the basis of your consent. Without your consent, technologies in the "Marketing" category remain disabled.
4. Legal bases
We use technologies in the "Necessary (always active)" category on the basis of Section 25 (2) TDDDG. Where personal data is processed in this context, this additionally takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR or Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, if this is necessary to provide the service you requested or for pre-contractual measures or contract performance. As a rule, we use technologies in the "Functional", "Analytics" and "Marketing" categories only on the basis of your consent in accordance with Section 25 (1) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR, unless another legal permission applies.
5. Consent management
We use a self-developed consent management system to store your choices for the categories "Necessary (always active)", "Functional", "Analytics" and "Marketing", to implement them technically and to document them. For this purpose, a technically necessary entry may be stored on your device. This contains in particular your consent decision, the relevant category, a timestamp, information on the consent configuration used, technical metadata and, where applicable, a pseudonymous identifier.
Without this storage, the website could not reliably take your choices into account. The use of this technology is therefore technically necessary. Technologies in the "Functional", "Analytics" and "Marketing" categories remain disabled without your consent. Technologies in the "Necessary (always active)" category remain unaffected.
6. Specifically used or intended technologies and services
Matomo (self-hosted)
We use Matomo in our own hosting environment for reach measurement and statistical analysis of our portal. Matomo is only activated if you have consented to the "Analytics" category. In this context, page views, referrers, device and browser information, shortened or anonymized IP addresses, timestamps and interaction data may in particular be processed.
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager to technically manage website tags and integrated services. Google Tag Manager itself primarily serves to deliver and manage other tags. When the service is loaded, standard HTTP request data, in particular IP address, browser information, referrer and technical header information, may be transmitted to Google. To the extent that the use of Google Tag Manager or the tags controlled through it is not assigned to the "Necessary (always active)" category, activation only takes place after you have given your consent. This applies in particular to tags or scripts in the "Functional", "Analytics" and "Marketing" categories. Whether and which cookies or comparable technologies are set depends on the specific services integrated through it.
OpenStreetMap
Maps from OpenStreetMap may be integrated to display locations and location information. The map view is only loaded if you actively call up the map function or a corresponding location view. In that case, your browser may establish connections to servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation or technically used map or tile servers. Technical information such as your IP address, browser data, referrer, date and time as well as the map section retrieved may be processed in this context. In our privacy settings, this function is assigned to the "Necessary (always active)" category insofar as it is loaded only after your active request and serves to display the location information specifically selected by you. In this case, the related technically necessary access to device information is governed by Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG.
Stripe
We may use Stripe services for payments. If you start a payment process or open a payment interface provided by Stripe, Stripe may process technically necessary information and, depending on the integration, set its own cookies or similar technologies. This serves in particular secure payment processing, fraud prevention, authentication and the stability of the payment function. To the extent that the payment function is directly requested by you for contract performance, the related technically necessary access to device information takes place within the framework of the legal permissions; additional functions depend on your consent and the specific integration.
PayPal
If you choose PayPal as payment method or open a payment interface provided by PayPal, PayPal may process technically necessary information and, depending on the technical integration, set cookies or comparable technologies. This serves in particular payment processing, authentication, security and fraud prevention. To the extent that the use of the payment function is necessary for carrying out your booking, the related access to device information takes place within the scope of the legal permissions; any additional technologies depend on the specific integration and your choices.
Mailjet / double opt-in for newsletters
We may use Mailjet for newsletter subscriptions and the double opt-in procedure. When a newsletter form is opened or a confirmation link is clicked, technical connection data may be processed. To the extent that cookies or comparable technologies are used via integrated forms or downstream functions, this depends on the specific technical integration and, where necessary, on your consent. The actual email confirmation in the double opt-in procedure serves to prove your subscription and is not equivalent to a general marketing consent for additional access to your device.
Social media links: Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest
Our website contains links to our profiles on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. Insofar as we only use static links or buttons, no cookies from these platforms are stored on your device simply by visiting our website. Only when you actively click the relevant link do you leave our website and the privacy and cookie notices of the respective provider apply.
7. Storage period
The storage period depends on the respective technology and its purpose. Some entries are stored only for the duration of your session and are deleted when the browser is closed. Others remain stored on your device for a defined period so that your choices or certain settings can be recognized during a later visit. The specific storage periods of the technologies used can - where technically provided - be viewed in our consent management or in the respective privacy notices of the services.
8. Management, withdrawal and deactivation
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time via the privacy settings or cookie panel on our website. In addition, you can delete, block or allow cookies only in individual cases via your browser settings. Please note that this may limit individual functions of our portal.
- consents already granted can be withdrawn with effect for the future,
- technologies in the "Necessary (always active)" category can only be disabled via the website insofar as this is compatible with the functionality of the portal,
- for services in the "Functional", "Analytics" and "Marketing" categories, the respective provider's settings may also be relevant.
9. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We reserve the right to adapt this Cookie Policy if legal requirements, technical integrations or the services we use change. The current version published on our website shall apply in each case.
10. Manage cookies
